I've been writing since an early age. Getting my thoughts on the page was one of my first loves, and I've never looked back. In my mid 20s, I decided that the rat race wasn't for me, so I left my office job to become a freelancer.

Education

I'm a big believer in learning. It's something I'm doing all the time in the course of my career, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Here are a few of my qualifications

• BA (Hons) Humanities with English Language and Literature

I completed my degree in 2006, achieving a 2:1 classification.

• Diploma in Literature

I specialised in the 19th century novel in the final year of my degree

• Diploma in English Language Studies

I specialised in the art of English, a topic which explored creativity both in literary forms as well as everyday language usage.

• Certificate in Humanities

My first year of study incorporated the arts in general. I studied art, music, philosophy, architecture and history, and specialised in the Enlightenment and Romantic periods.
